The Batsheva Dance Company is a nonprofit organization and a third of its budget comes from donations. There are various ways for you to become partners in the company’s path, dream, and realization. Whether it is a small or large donation – each partnership makes it possible for us to keep exploring, creating, educating, and striving for excellent and uncompromising dancemaking.

Support New Work

Be a part of the continuation of thought-provoking, boundary-pushing contemporary creation. Batsheva’s works are at the forefront of dancemaking in Israel and worldwide, and many of them are have entered the canon of international dance. Each season, Batsheva stages new dance works, holding over 250 performances before 100,000 viewers, in Israel and around the world.

Staging a new piece involves many hours of rehearsing in the studio, working with co-creators on the set, lighting, costume, and music design, as well as set, props, and costume production expenses. We invite you to take part and help secure the continuation of new groundbreaking dancemaking.

Investing in the Future Generation

Ensure culture and dance education for all ages and throughout Israel. Batsheva is committed to bringing diverse populations closer to arts and culture in general, and to the art of dance in particular, with the belief that the existence of art is essential to the development of a better and more advanced society.

The company performs throughout Israel, often subsidizing the expenses involved in holding shows far from central Israel. Batsheva also places special emphasis on cultivating a young audience through Batsheva Ensemble’s morning performance project in schools, which has long been considered worldwide as a perfect model for dance and performance art education.

Cultivating the Dancers’ Wellbeing

Cultivate tomorrow’s performing artists and choreographers. Batsheva is the largest dance company in Israel, and numbers about 40 Israeli and international dancers in two troupes: Batsheva Dance Company and Batsheva Ensemble. Batsheva dancers are an invaluable part of its success and the company works tirelessly to ensure their wellbeing in every aspect – wages and working conditions, physical and social wellbeing, offering them an enriching work environment, training them as teachers, and fostering them as performing artists and independent dancemakers. Thanks to Batsheva’s international reputation, every year dozens of dancers come from all over the world to attend workshops and courses, and to audition to Batsheva Ensemble.
