Sharon Bar-Lev is a manager and cultural entrepreneur with extensive experience leading cultural and artistic institutions in Israel. For the past eight years, she has served as CEO of the Choreographers Association, the umbrella organization representing dance creators in Israel, which she successfully led from court-ordered stay of proceedings to organizational and financial prosperity. In this role, she worked closely with the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, parliamentary committees, local municipalities, the national lottery’s Council for Culture and Arts, and major media outlets, while also developing international collaborations to promote Israeli dance worldwide.
Among her previous roles, Sharon served as CEO of the Israeli Directors union, where she led public campaigns and took an active part in policy committees and influential cultural forums.
In addition to her professional roles, Sharon is active in the public sphere: since 2019 she has been a member of the board of The Culture & Art Institutions Forum in Israel, representing cultural organizations in their dialogue with government authorities and influencing cultural policy and budgets.
Sharon is a mother of four, married to Nir Bar-Lev, country manager of ServiceNow in Israel. She lives in Ramat Hasharon, holds an M.A. in Public Policy from Tel Aviv University (graduating with distinction on a merit scholarship), and a B.Ed. with high honors in Theatre Directing and Teaching from Seminar HaKibbutzim College. She completed her military service in the Israel Defense Forces Theatre as both an actress and a commander.Executive Director of Batsheva Dance Company since 2025.
