BATSHEVA ENSEMBLE AUDITION - SEASON 2027-28
The application period will run from October 15 to November 12 2026.

Audition Timeline
14 October 2026: Application opens
12 November 2026: Application closes
23 + 24 November 2026: Results for stage #1 will be sent via email
22 + 23 January 2027: Stage #2 for dancers who live in Israel – at Batsheva Dance Company Studios in Tel Aviv
29 + 30 January 2027: Stage #2 for international dancers + Final stage – at Batsheva Dance Company Studios in Tel Aviv
Online application
The first Stage is an online video audition.
Before filling in the online form, please read the guidelines carefully.
Audition Video Guidelines
The video should contain the following elements:
1. Introduction – A few words about yourself. Please make sure that we can see and hear you well.
2. Repertoire – Choose a contemporary repertoire you have experience with.
3. Improvisation – 1-2 minutes of improvisation that emphasizes your dynamics, groove, delicacy, speed, explosive power and passion to move.
4. Adagio exercise – An adagio exercise in the center of the space that demonstrates your ballet skills, range and stretch.
A few things to keep in mind:
The Video should be up to 5 minutes in total.
Use YouTube or Vimeo to upload your video. Please DO NOT password protect the video.
Ensure that you are well visible. There should be no other dancers in the background.
CV Guidelines
Please make sure you send us the most current version of your CV.
Make sure your CV contains your personal information, including your first+last name, age, email address, phone number, current place of residency and nationality.
CV must include an up-to-date headshot. A recent, clear, and high-resolution photo is ideal.

General Information
• Every year the Batsheva Ensemble holds auditions for the following season.
• The majority of dancers in the Batsheva Ensemble are between the ages of 17 and 27, but there can be some exceptions. The minimum registration age is 17 years old. There is no maximum age.
• The first stage is an online video.
• The second stage will take place in the Batsheva Dance Company studios, and will include a Gaga class, repertoire and improvisation.
• There is no need to prepare a dance section in advance or wear special clothing to the audition.
