Dance Day

High school dance departments coordinators, studio owners, and dance teachers are invited to enrich the students’ learning experience and visit the company’s homebase in Suzanne Dellal Center, for a professional day that offers an intimate glimpse into the company’s unique work processes.
The day can be tailored to meet your specific needs and budgets, by combining options from the following list:
1. Gaga class
Gaga, the revolutionary movement language developed by Ohad Naharin, serves as the Batsheva Dance Company daily practice technique, imparted to dancers as well as the general public in Israel and worldwide. The class is taught by the company’s past and present dancers who have been trained as Gaga teachers.

2. Repertoire workshops
Learning excerpts from the repertoire of the Batsheva Dance Company with the company’s past and present dancers.

3. Watching an open rehearsal
A peek behind the curtain at the fascinating work processes taking place in the studio. Watching a rehearsal of the company or ensemble dancers opens a window into the playground of one of the world’s best dance companies.

4. Watching a performance
Special prices for student groups for the company’s shows at the Suzanne Dellal Center.

5. Conversation with the company’s artistic team and/or dancers
A conversation after the performance or open rehearsal that enriches the viewing experience, allowing the students to ask questions and get to know the performers and the people involved in the artistic process.
