About American Friends of Batsheva (AFB)
AFB was established in 2002 as a nonprofit organization to fundraise in the United States for the benefit of the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel. AFB is a critical partner in sustaining Batsheva as a world-renowned contemporary dance company, contributing to Batsheva’s general operations, including staging productions and the development of new works. Additionally, AFB supports programs that provide for the dancers’ wellbeing and Batsheva’s educational initiatives in Israel, which introduce dance and movement to school children from across Israel, regardless of their religion or socio-economic status. AFB also works to promote Batsheva internationally to grow its global audience.
