Three years after his latest work MOMO, Ohad Naharin returns with ZŌ – a new work for Batsheva Dance Company, which will premiere in December 2025.
The venue chosen for the new piece is Varda Studio, which also hosted Mamootot, The Hole, and 2019 – an intimate space that puts the audience and the dancers in close proximity and offers an unparalleled viewing experience.
In ZŌ, Naharin collaborates with the musician DJ Tai Rona. The two worked together to create a unique and immersive sound experience for the new work.
Please note: the performance includes moments of complete darkness in the auditorium.
The performance has two casts: Zana Cast and Chipps Cast.
Seating in rows 2 and 4 consists of high chairs.
Audience entry is via two separate entrances – Entrance A and Entrance B – as specified on your ticket.
The creation was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Maychor Foundation, N. Bar Natan Investments Ltd., Ruth and Doron Blatt, Bat Shlomo Vineyards, the Zita and Mark Bernstein Family Foundation (Canada), Factory 54, New Works Fund (Israel), the American Friends of Batsheva, anonymous.
