Batsheva Hosts: Not Letting It In / 24 Hours of Confessions!
by Jason Morris Danino Holt
Confession: What is the thing I fear people will think of me if I say it out loud here and now?
Not Letting It In is a performative event where the only thing allowed to be spoken is confessions:
No responses, no questions, no judgment.
An improvised sequence of autobiographical texts exploring shame, fear, and guilt.
At the center of the event, performers dressed formally sit around a table and confess. The audience is invited to come, leave, and return at will. If they wish, audience members can also share their own confessions.
