Maya Jackoby was born in 2008 in Kiryat Ono. She began her dance journey at the “Adidance” studio, and in 2021, she moved to the Shira Ganor Ballet School. Over the years, she has participated in various dance competitions in Israel and abroad, earning honors in several of them. For four years, she received an excellence scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF / Keren Sharett), including two years with exceptional distinction. In addition, she attended leading international summer intensives programs, including the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Summer Intensive in 2022, The Juilliard School Summer Intensive in 2024, and in 2025, she participated in Maria Barrios’ Pre-Professional Program as well as the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) Summer Course. She was granted “Outstanding Dancer” status by the IDF.
She joined the Batsheva Ensemble as an apprentice in 2026.
