Joey Gertin is a dance artist born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After completing his training at Elite Danceworx under the direction of Dawn Rappitt, Joey spent four years at The Juilliard School, under the direction of Alicia Graf Mak and Mario Alberto Zambrano. In the Spring of 2024, Joey received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. After graduating, Joey joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2. Joey has had the opportunity to work with and perform works by Ohad Naharin, Aszure Barton, Medhi Walerski, Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, Ethan Colangelo, Marco Goecke, Johan Inger, Jermaine Spivey, Sharon Eyal, and more.
Joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2026.
