Etay Axelrod

Etay Axelrod

Born in 1995, Itai graduated from Blich High School in Ramat Gan. He participated in the American Academy of Ballet Summer Course (2012), Peridance School in Manhattan (2013), and SIBA in Salzburg. Etay was a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship in 2013-2014. Etay joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014, after completing a year as an apprentice.

 
Yael Ben Ezer

Yael Ben Ezer

Born in 1995 in Tel-Aviv, Yael studied at Tel-Aviv School of the Arts and graduated from Alon High School's dance department. She participated in the Excellence Programs of both Batsheva Dance Company and the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. During the summer of 2010 she participated in the "Dance is Culture" (Israel/Italy) project directed by Adi Salant and Mauro Astolfi. Yael joined the Batsheva Ensemble in August 2013. 

 
Ido Gidron

Ido Gidron

Ido was born in 1995 in Shoresh, Israel and is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School. He participated in the summer course of The Juilliard School in New York and the Batsheva Excellence Program in 2011-2013. Ido danced in Maya Michlal's independent dance project and in KCDC 2. He serves in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer and joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014.

 
Madison  Hoke

Madison Hoke

Madison Hoke was born in Fairmont, West Virginia in 1994. She graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 2012. While schooling, Madison studied with Angela Dennis, of Alchemy Dance Project, and Katreena Snyder of Kat & Co. Dance. She was the 2008 Friends of West Virginia Culture and History Scholarship Recipient. From 2011-2013, she trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan. In 2012, she performed with Zhukov Dance Theatre in San Francisco. Madison joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2013.

 
Kelvin Vu

Kelvin Vu

Kelvin Vu was born in the US in 1989. After graduating from Yale University in 2011, he trained at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan. He joined Batsheva Ensemble in Augus 2013.

 
Matan Cohen

Matan Cohen

Born in Haifa in 1993, Matan studied at the Dance Department of Wizo High School for the Arts. He is the recipient of the honoring scholarship of Haifa Cultural Foundation (2011) and of the American Ballet Academy (2011-2012). He graduated from the training program of Bikurey Ha'Itim and the Excellence Programs of both Batsheva Dance Company and the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. Matan serves in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer. Joined the ensemble in August 2013. 

 
Rani Lebzelter

Rani Lebzelter

Rani Lebzelter was born in Israel in 1989. She studied at the Bustan School for the Performing Arts in Netanya. During 2009-2010 Rani trained at the dancer's workshop in Kibbutz Ga'aton. Between 2009-2011 she took part in the dance training course under the direction of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan. In 2010 Rani participated in the Batsheva Dance Company Excellence Program directed by Hillel Kogan. She joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2012.

 
Yaara Lapid

Yaara Lapid

Yaara Lapid was born in 1995 and is a graduate of Thelma Yellin School of the Arts. She was a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship in 2012 and received American Ballet Academy summer course scholarships in 2011-2012. Yaara apprenticed with KCDC and joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014. She serves in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer.

 
Hsin-Yi Hsiang

Hsin-Yi Hsiang

Hsin-Yi Hsiang was born in Taiwan in 1983. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was awarded scholarships for four years. Hsin-Yi relocated to New York City and joined LeeSaar The Company from fall 2007-2014. She joined BatshevaEnsemble in August 2014.

 
Amalia Smith

Amalia Smith

Amalia was born on the west coast of Canada in 1994 and grew up on Salt Spring Island, BC. In 2010 she moved to Vancouver to join the Arts Umbrella Dance Company and its school. During her four years there, the company toured to Holland where she performed at NDT Switch. In 2012 Amalia was introduced to Gaga at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She joined BatshevaEnsemble in August 2014.

 
Shane Scopatz

Shane Scopatz

 Shane Scopatz was born in the US in 1988 and grew up in Santa Barbara, California. He graduated from the University of California at Irvine in 2011 with a BFA in Dance, and was introduced to Gaga while studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance in 2009. Shane joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2012.

 
Korina Fraiman

Korina Fraiman

Korina was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 1989 and immigrated to Israel when she was a year and a half old. She started dancing at age six and participated in national contests throughout her childhood. At age fifteen Korina was granted a scholarship in Omanut Laam's Machol Zoremprogram. She danced with Tamara Mielnik's Jerusalem Dance Theater and studied in the Bikurey Ha'Itim training program. In 2007 she worked with choreographer Dafi Altabeb on a piece for Zirat Machol, and starting in 2008, she performed with KCDC for six years. Korina joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014.

 
Doron Perk

Doron Perk

Born in 1990, Doron studied at the Music and Dance Academy in Jerusalem and the conservatorium of the academy. Between 2008 and 2010, Doron danced for the Croatian National Theater Ballet and later on between 2010 and 2013 in Compañía Nacional de Danza. He is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship for 5 consecutive years (2003-2008) and was awarded a full scholarship for the Conservatoire de Paris along with Pas de Deux Master Class and Mia Arbatova Association (2006). Doron was an apprentice at the Batsheva Ensemble in 2008 and joined  the Ensrembleas a dancer in August 2013.

 
Ori Kroll

Ori Kroll

Ori Kroll was born in Israel in 1994. She graduated from Thelma Yallin School of the Arts. Ori was  the recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship both in 2010 and 2011. She participated in Batsheva Ensemble's Exellence Program (2011-2012).
Ori joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2013.

 
Kyle Scheurich

Kyle Scheurich

Kyle Scheurich was born in 1992 in New York. In 2010 he graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music & Art and the Performing Arts. During his time at LaGuardia High School he also studied at Manhattan Youth Ballet under the direction of FrancoisPerron. He graduated from The Juilliard School in 2014 and joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014.

Gil Hacohen (Aapprentice)

Gil Hacohen was born in 1994 in Jerusalem and is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School. He was a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship from 2008-2009 and graduated from the Bikurey Ha'Itim training program, under the direction of Naomi Perlov and Ofir Dagan. Gil participated in the Batsheva Dance Company Excellence Program between 2011-2013 and in NDT’s summer course in 2013. Gil serves in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer and joined the ensemble as an apprentice in August 2014.

Lenny Hassin (Apprentice)

Lenny Hassin was born in Tel Aviv in 1996. She studied theatre at Thelma Yellin School of the Arts and began to dance in 11th grade at Ironi Alef High School. While in high school, Lenny participated in a student exchange program with the de ! Kunsthumaniora school in Belgium. She participated in the Batsheva Excellence Program in 2013-2014. Lenny joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014 and is about to serve in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer. Joined the ensemble as an apprentice in August 2014.

Yonatan (Yoni) Simone (Apprentice)

Yoni was born in 1995 and is a graduate of the dance department at the Ironi Alef High School in Tel Aviv. During his studies, he participated in a student exchange program with the de ! Kunsthumaniora school in Belgium. Yoni participated in the Batsheva Excellence Program in 2011-2014 as well as in the KCDC Excellence Program in 2011-2012. He was the recipient of a full scholarship to the American Academy of Ballet summer course in 2013. Yoni serves in the IDF as a privileged outstanding dancer and joined Batsheva Ensemble in August 2014 as an apprentice.

 
Yaakov (Yankalle) Filtser (Apprentice)

Yaakov (Yankalle) Filtser (Apprentice)

Yankalle was born in Jerusalem in 1993 and is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School and the Bikurey Ha'Itim training program. He has performed with various choreographers including Odelia Kuperberg, Shlomi Bitton, Irad Mazliah, and Tammy Izhaki. Yankelle received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, Clore Israel Foundation, and other foundations. He participated in the Batsheva Excellence Program in 2011-2012, studied acting in the Chubbuck technique, and played a lead role in the movie Hamaarag. Yankelle started the project Omanut Barehov (Art in the Street) and continues to create art in public spaces. He joined Batsheva Ensemble as an apprentice in August 2014.
